Recent TraceTech Solutions audits have uncovered:
- bank accounts that weren’t regularly reconciled; in one instance this enabled a $28,000 fraud to go undetected for nearly six months
- funds that were regularly transferred from an active account to a hidden account; poor bookkeeping practices, rather than deceit, was the cause
- unauthorized payroll increases over a two-year period
- miscategorized and unauthorized expenses; in one instance our client had paid out nearly $20,000 in unsubstantiated expense claims
